Kershaw (arriving late, due to work commitments). 2.11.18 To receive Members Declarations of Interest. Cllr. P. Lawrence as Chairman of Reed Village Hall Committee. 3.11.18 To invite members of the Public to address the meeting. No one wished to speak. 4.11.18 To consider and make comment on planning application: Full Permission Householder : Two storey rear extension with associated ancillary works. The Mission Room, High Street, Reed, Royston, Hertfordshire, SG8 8AH Case Ref: 18/02708/FPH After careful consideration of the application it was proposed by Cllr. Higgs, seconded by Cllr. d’Ayala and the majority voted (3 in favour and 1 against – Cllr. Lawrence) of no objection to the application. However, the Council wished to state that it’s support for the application was subject to red brick being used on the west elevation rather than wood cladding and that an archeological survey be carried out. NHDC would also be asked what their policy was on notifying adjoining neighbours about planning applications. It was then delegated to the Chair and the Clerk to respond to NHDC. Action: KL/Clerk Cllr. Kershaw arrived in the meeting at 7.20pm 5.11.18 To consider and make comment on planning application: Full Planning Permission : Erection of detached two storey residential annexe and associated works to facilitate change of use of existing paddock land to domestic garden. The Mission Room, High Street, Reed, Royston, Hertfordshire, SG8 8AH Case Ref: 18/02880/FP Following a lengthy discussion it was proposed by Cllr. d’Ayala, seconded by Cllr. Lawrence and all voted in favour of objecting to this application. The objection was on the grounds of size, location, materials and of change of use of the land. It was then delegated to the Chair and the Clerk to respond to NHDC. Action: KL/Clerk 6.11.18 To consider and make comment on planning application: Section 73 Application : Variation of Conditions 2 & 4 as attached to planning application 13/02872/1 granted on 24/02/2014. Wisbridge Farm, High Street, Reed, Hertfordshire, SG8 8AH – Case Ref: 18/02432/S73 After consideration it was proposed by Cllr. d’Ayala, seconded by Cllr. Kershaw and all voted in favour of no objection to this application. The Clerk to respond to NHDC. Action Clerk For information only: Update from the Clerk on other planning cases: 1 Coronation Row – Change of use of annexe to one bedroom dwelling with associated parking spaces. Case Ref: 17/00271/1 – Refused 11/04/2017 Appeal Ref: APP/X1925/W/17/3180296 – Dismissed 01/12/2017 Thatchers Cottage – Retention of wooden shed in front garden.
