Ahead of the meeting on Wednesday (1 July) Reed Parish Council has published a report on developments since its last meeting in May.
Over the past two months the Parish Council has continued to represent the village on a number of important issues. These have included submitting an initial response to the review of the North Herts Local Plan, successfully objecting to the proposed housing development behind Reed House, and preparing for the next stages of the Local Plan review later this year.
Work has also continued on improving village facilities. Three new benches have been ordered to replace older seating, and the Council has launched its new website, making it easier for residents to find information about the Council, village news and local services.
The report also includes an update on discussions with the new owner of The Cabinet and reflects on the success of the Annual Village Meeting in May, which brought together local organisations and residents for an enjoyable community event.
