Friends of Reed Church

The Friends of Reed Church is a registered charity and was set up in January 2005 to raise money to help fund the cost of repairs and maintenance of the church building at Reed. More about the 15 year programme of repairs and renovation at Reed Church The main idea of the organisation’s foundation was to stimulate and attract ideas, help and resource from those in and around Reed whose interest was not necessarily focused on what goes on inside the church but more on maintaining the building itself and preserving what the church provides to both the community and the individuals within it. It is a fact that without such help and support, the maintenance and upkeep of Reed church would not be possible. We raise funds through annual subscriptions and donations, and by organising and running various events, which have included Race Nights, Jazz Events, Clay Pigeon Shoots, Christmas Suppers, Barn Dances and a host of other one-off ad hoc events. The profits from these events have been supplemented by various grants for specific repairs, maintenance & renovation projects.
