Reed Line Dancers

Reed Line Dancers meet every Monday evening at the Village Hall. If you haven’t tried line dancing, you haven’t lived! Everyone is welcome, from semi- professional to absolute beginners.

A small friendly group who meet to discuss books we have chosen to read. Nibbles may be consumed and a glass of wine help the comments along. More about Reed Readers

Indoor Bowls

The Reed Bowls Club meets every Tuesday evening at 8pm for an evening of indoor bowls in the Village Hall. Membership is £3 per year and the cost to play is £2 an evening. The season runs from the first Tuesday in September to the last Tuesday in May. It is a great opportunity to get together during the week for some light exercise and to catch up. Reed Choir

Formed in the summer of 2014 to sing a choral evensong to conclude a flower festival at St Mary;’s Church, Reed Choir now has over 30 members aged from 8 to 80, drawn not only from Reed but also from other local villages. More about Reed Choir
Reed cricketers at Lords

Reed Cricket Club

Reed has hosted a Cricket Club since 1956. The Cricket Club has met particular success recently, winning the National Village Cup in 2012, 2017 and again in 2019, making it one of a select few clubs to have triumphed in the competition three times. More about Reed Cricket Club.

Reed Gardening Club

We meet every second Wednesday in the Village Hall. Interesting speakers on all aspects of gardening. Annual Show and a plant sale. A must for all keen gardeners in Reed and the surrounding towns and villages. See the notice board for our next event. Contact Hazel Hewett for more information (07970 855904).

Reed Pudding Club

Not what you might think! When you come to any of Reed’s events you will soon discover Reed’s pudding club - a happy band of (mostly) ladies who produce sweet courses to die for.

Save the Cabinet Action Group

The Action Group was formed in 2016 to try to prevent the last pub in Reed being turned permanently into a house. As well as leading local resistance to the current planning applications, it arranges various social and fundraising events. More on the group’s website.

Friends of Reed Church

The Friends of Reed Church is a registered charity and was set up in January 2005 to raise money to help fund the cost of repairs and maintenance of the church building at Reed. More about Friends of Reed Church

Friends of Reed School

Friends of Reed School (FoRS) is the Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) for our village school, and functions as a registered charity. We help the school out by fundraising for those little extras that make school life even more enjoyable. More about Friends of Reed School
