The Coronation of King Charles III and the Queen Consort will take place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6 May 2023.
Lunch and Social on the Green
Reed will join communities across the nation in a holding a celebration lunch on the green. Bring a picnic and seating, or even a gazebo!The event will start at 12 noon, and set up will be from 10am.The cricket pavilion bar will be open from 12 noon.There will be live music from The Teatime Trio and Reed Choir will sing some rousing numbers. There will be a bouncy castle for the kids.And why not beat your neighbours in a game of tug of war?Come dressed in red, white and blue and enjoy the celebrations with family, friends and other village residents!
The Big Help-Out
The King has suggested a “Big Help-out” on Monday 8th May to contribute to local communities. The Parish Council are looking for volunteers to join them to do some repair and tidying work on the much loved play area on The Green. This is an opportunity for you to support your local community. No skills are required just some of your time and bags of enthusiasm! More details will follow.
